Mostly, while travelling through Asia I use my camera. Since 1980 Nepal and India is where my focus and interest lies. Often places away from the main routes and paths. My eyes glance through the lense on those rare and particular moments bevore the glimpse escapes: sideways, minor matters, the unexpected and neglected things and situations. I do look for the unknown in the familiar and the wellknown in the strange.

Therefore my fotos become irritating shots, not always easy to locate. They are like the undergrowth in the woods, one thinks to know what is there and therefore is surprised what enormous variety there is to be discovered by really having a close look.
Sometimes the fotos also help recalling memories for my paintings.
